Margaret Jo Long, 89, of El Dorado, formerly of West Monroe, LA, died Thursday, February 28, 2013.

Margaret was born January 21, 1924 in El Dorado to the late Joseph Thomas and Evie Arizona (Jarrell) Brasher. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James S. Long, son Larry A. Long, granddaughter, Lisa Long Grigson, five brothers, and eight sisters.

Mrs. Long was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Monroe. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by son Bill Long and wife Janis of El Dorado and daughter-in-law Annette Long of Cullman, AL; grandchildren Jim Long (Sandy) of Bay City, MI, Robert Long (Lisa) of Nashville, TN, Janna Allen (John) of Mansfield, TX, Doug Long (Laura) of Cullman, AL: great-granddaughters Sarah Aiken (Sam), Julia Allen; great-grandsons Matthew Grigson, Christopher Long, Jesse Eldridge, Sam Long, Joshua Allen, Stephen Long, Jonathan Luke Long; great great-grandchildren Jackson Long and Bailye Aiken; sister Elizabeth (Kotchie) Tubbs and husband Paul of Oak Grove, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be at Noon, Monday, March 4, 2013 at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens, 8729 Cypress St., West Monroe, LA with Rev. Larry Linson officiating.

Memorials may be made in Mrs. Long's name to Highland Park Baptist church, 2507 Oliver Rd., Monroe, LA 71201
