Departed on Jul. 18, 2012 and resided in West Monroe, LA.

Funeral services for Arlene Clampit, age 81, will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 21, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Wesley Pittman.

Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Milton Clampit.

Arlene is survived by her sons, Stephen Clampit and his wife, Tracie, Paul Clampit and his wife, Donna and Jonathan Clampit and his wife, Suzonne; and 5 grandchildren.

She was a very active member of Trinity Baptist Church and all church activities. She was quick witted and loved lightning up one's day with a joke. She was an educator by trade and after her children were born, she turned her focus to raising her family and helping others. Arlene will be remembered as a very loving person. The family extends a very special thank you to the Landmark Nursing Home staff, especially the CNAs, for their compassionate care shown to Arlene during her residency.

Pallbearers will be Chris Owens, Greg Owens, Terry Glennon, Michael Glennon, Danny Glennon and John Perkins
