Funeral services for Mrs. Rivers Dean Clement, 84, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday April 5, 2008 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Russell Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Acree Cemetery in Point, LA.
Mrs. Clement died April 3, 2008 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
She was a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army serving as a registered nurse in a Mash Unit during WWII in Japan and the Phillipines. Mrs. Clement loved children, gardening and animals.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Willie Dean, brothers, Curtis and Ferman Dean.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Landes and husband Jim, Michael Clement and wife Kim, Brenda Breen and husband Peter, Rebecca Clement, Elizabeth Brown and husband Billy, Stephen Clement and wife Sarah; sister, Ester Kennedy and husband Troy; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Friday April 4, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Humane Society.
