VENUS, TX- Funeral services celebrating the life of Jamie Leigh Douglas Rhymes, 33, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, LA 71118. Interment will follow in the Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, LA. Visitation will be Friday, October 25, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Jamie was born on May 3, 1980 in Monroe, LA and passed away October 21, 2013 in Midlothian, TX in an automobile accident. She was a resident of Venus, TX and a former resident of Shreveport. She was a 1998 graduate of Captain Shreve High School, an in-home child care provider, a Mary Kay distributor and a student of DeVry University. Jamie was a loving wife, mother, daughter and granddaughter. Her family was her first priority.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donnie Douglas; mother, Dana Michele Saffell Douglas Harman; grandmother, Jackie Ibelli.
She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Wayne Rhymes; children, Jacob Thomas Gongre, Christian Bradyn Rhymes, and Landri Elyse Rhymes; grandparents, Diann and Kay Saffell; step-father, Anton Harman; siblings, Michele Harman and Lucien Douglas; father and mother-in-law, Wayne and Sharon Rhymes; sister-in-law, Amanda Jennings and her husband Justin; uncles, Scotty and Tommy Saffell; nephew, Dawson Jennings; niece, Millicent Coleman; and numerous other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Andy Adams, Jeremy Scott, Tony Holtzclaw, William Watts.
