Edsel L. Posey of Ruston, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, after a brief illness. He was born in Columbia, Mississippi on December 18, 1928. He worked for Shell Oil Company in the accounting department of the New Orleans and Houston offices for 38 years. After retirement, he and his wife moved to Ruston to be near children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Theresa Posey. He is survived by his children: Bridget and husband J.V Jones Jr of Ruston, Ronald Vance Posey and wife Kelly of San Marcos Texas, and Robin Maltby of New Orleans. Grandchildren: James V Jones III and wife Kim of Anchorage, AK, Jennifer Black and husband Marcus of Ruston, Emily Ann Brody and husband David of New York, NY and Ben Posey of Lubbock Texas.
A private family graveside service will be held Friday morning with Dr. Reggie Bridges officiating. The family wishes that any gifts or memorials be made to Temple Baptist Church of Ruston. The family also wishes to thank their friends for the many fun times they provided for Ed.
