HOMER, LA - Graveside services will be held for Marion Henry White, 70, of Homer at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004 at Arlington Cemetery with Rev. David Dietzel, officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Monday.
Mr. White was born Jan. 27, 1934 in Emerson, AR. to Lester Heard and Christine Wyrick White. He was a 1957 graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Forestry and was the owner/operator of White Wood Company in Homer. Mr. White entered into rest Sunday, December 5, 2004 in Homer after a brief illness. His parents preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Bridwell White of Homer; his daughter Lissa Crump and husband, Tommy of Haynesville and their children; Meagan and Ross; two sons, David White and wife, Candie and their children, Ashley and Alexandra and Paul White, Mandi and their children, Hannah and Abigail, all of Homer.
Pallbearers will be Todd Carter, Ellis Smith, Mike Dickerson, Ray Wilkins, Randolph Wallace and Perry Allen Hammontree.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Homer or to Claiborne Academy in Homer.
