Louisa Haag Starts Allen obituary January 13, 1910
During the still hours of the night of December 30, 1909, the spirit of Mrs. L. Allen of Wisner, La., took its flight to the eternal world. In the death of Mrs. Allen the long and successful business life of a woman of no little ability was ended. She was a member of the Holly Grove Methodist Church and during her active life took much interest in religious matters. On the 24th day of October, 1909, she was 74 years old, and on that day fell which caused such injuries that she was confined to her bed until death released her. At the time of accident she was feeble and in bad health. For several days before death she was unable to speak and recognized no one, but seemed to have little or no pain, from which we judge she passed away quietly. Her remains were interred at the Copeland place. Peace be to her ashes. to her son, George Allen and her daughter, Mrs. Emma Sheffield, and her grandchildren we extend our sympathy.
