BENTON, LA - Services to celebrate the life of Donna Marie Armstrong Lott, 57, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Benton, LA in the Ivan Community. Officiating will be her brother in law Rev. Ellis Hayden of Gladewater, TX and Dr. Byron Longino, Pastor of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church in Benton, LA. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA on Monday, September 16, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.Donna was born on August 11, 1956 in Chanute AFB Rantoul, IL to Willard H. (Jack) and Annie L. Armstrong and went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 14, 2013 after a brief illness with cancer.She was a graduate of Bossier High School, and retired from the Shreveport Police Dept. in 2003. She was a member of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church for 15 years where she was an awesome Pastor's wife, a member of WMU and AWANA Commander and taught pre-K Sunday school. She loved serving her Lord, her church and her community.Donna's hobbies included cooking, sewing, quilting and crafting for family and friends and she loved to bass fish. Her pride and joy were her three precious granddaughters and giving them whatever they wanted. She is survived by her parents Willard H. and Annie Armstrong of Bossier City, husband of 35 years, Bill Lott, one daughter, Ann Marie Olsen and husband Charles of Bossier City, two sisters Jackie Hayden of Gladewater, TX and Pam Twohig of Shreveport, one brother, John Armstrong of Benton and three grandchildren, Rylee, Maddie and Cadence Olsen of Bossier City, also numerous nieces and nephews.Honoring Donna as pallbearers will be Tommy Jones, Parnell Jones, Donald Ray Smith, Scott Troquille, Larry Stinson and Mike Ware. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Pilgrim Home Baptist Church. The family would like to thank Courtney Young of Red River Internal Medicine for her compassion and prayers, Rusty and the staff of Southern Care Hospice for their kind and professional help.
