Funeral services for Marie Gray Young, 77, of Bossier City, LA will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Brown-Holley Funeral Chapel, Rayville, LA with Rev. Jimmy Goodman officiating.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery, Alto, LA.
Mrs. Young was born June 20, 1936 in Archibald, LA and passed away March 17, 2014 in Bossier City, LA.
Marie is currently a member of Bellaire Baptist Church in Bossier City and a previous member of Archibald First Baptist Church in Archibald, LA. Marie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Over the years Marie worked a few side jobs in addition to being a homemaker, but the one she's most well-known for is working as a beautician. Her warm-heart and loving ways won her friends everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by all.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Rozella Gray; grandson, Brian Young; sister, Dorothy; and brother, Earl.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-nine years, Ernest Young; children, Ramona D. Murphy and husband, Jim; Ricky B. Young; Tony G. Young and wife, Eva; grandchildren, Becky Hendershot and husband, Chad; Rachel Hornbaker and husband, Darrel; Jessica Peel and husband, James B.; Amy Cornuaud and husband, Cory; Tommy Young; Mandy Posey; Kyle Young; Kayla Sinclair and husband, Mike; great-grandchildren, Sidney, Joey, Isabella, Kara, Ashlyn, Graecyn "Sugar Plum", and A. J.; siblings, Carl Gray; William Gray; June Gray; Gene Gray; Ralph Gray; and Annie Young.
Pallbearers will be Art Gray, Chuck Gray, Stevie Gray, Keith Gray, Jimbo Emmons, and Lavelle Tharp
Honorary pallbearer will be Travis Stephenson
Visitation will be 5:00 PM - 8:00PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Brown-Holley Funeral Home, Rayville.
