Obituary:
Funeral services Mrs. Carla S. Neathery, 57, will be 2pm Wednesday May 15, 2013 at the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home; conducting the service will be the Rev. Willie Cripps. Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery near Rayville.
Mrs. Neathery was born to the union of Carl and Althea Rice Simpson in Crossett, Arkansas on January 21, 1956 and departed this life suddenly on Saturday morning May 11, 2013 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center.
She was a resident of Calhoun, a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She had a passion for her family and especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Neathery; a son Carl Williams; siblings Jerry Simpson, Homer Simpson, Vera Dickey, Junior Austin and infant Charles Austin.
Survivors include her son David Williams and wife Amanda; her daughters Kelli Neathery; Charlene Phillips and husband Jacob; siblings James Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Betty Degeyter and Bennie Austin; her companion Mark Vallimont; grandchildren Paige, Richard, Riley and Raean; great grandchild Emma; her canine companion Baby; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Greg Phillips, Joel Cripps, Josh Cripps, Brian Scott, Jerry Harrison and Robbie Marks.
In lieu of floral arrangements contributions to defer funeral cost is appreciated.
Visitation will be Wednesday after 11am until time of the service.
