Obituary
DELHI — The Rev. D. L. McCall will officiate at 2 p.m. funeral services Tuesday in the Cloud Creek Baptist Church here for John Knox, 65, of Delhi.
Burial will be in the Methodist Cemetery here under direction of Simms and Gundy Funeral Home of Rayville.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lillie Knox of Delhi; eight daughters, Mrs. Betty Carter Knox, Doris Knox, Mrs. Ida Jackson, Mrs. Roberta May, all of Delhi; Mrs. Alice May, Mrs. Florenia May, Mrs. Barbara Ann Sherfield, all of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Lorine Connally of East Palo Alto, Calif.; two sons, Thomas Lee Knox of San Diego, Calif., and John E. Knox Jr. of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Willie Howard of Delhi; one brother, Fred Knox of Oakland, Calif.; 54 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Lee Knox, John E. Knox, Lovell May, Fred Connally, Grant Sherfield and Forrest Woodard.
