Richard Phillip (obit) LEWIS

Cotton Valley Cemetery
Webster County,
Louisiana

Son of W S & W C Lewis
September 9, 1908 - October 8, 1908

The mysteries of life is death, and this was verified when it was learned that little Richard Phillip Lewis, was dead, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. W.S. Lewis, of Cotton Valley, La. While it is sad to contemplate the premature extinguishment of such a young life, but may the grief-stricken parents recognize the verity of the Biblical injunction, 'Thy will, not ours, be done.'

Little Richard Phillip was born Sept. 9, 1908, died Oct. 8, 1908, only four weeks old. That precious babe staid with fond parents. Then an angel from on high stepping o'er a dainty lily saying 'tis this precious blossom needed for the celestial garden Fair. Call not back your darling, fond parents, for he is safe and where storms are o'er. Soon on yonder fair bright horizons. We shall meet to part no more.
