Funeral services for Mrs. Gracie Prestridge Love, age 85, will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Rev. Ronald Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery, Sarepta, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 29, 2014, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Love was born on May 23, 1929 to Willie and Onie Osborn Prestridge in Hall Summit, LA and passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. She was a member of Old Sarepta Baptist Church, was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful cook who loved caring for her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Bolton and husband, Van of Springhill, LA; son-in-law, Charles Parker of Ashdown, AR; four grandchildren, Jennifer Satterfield of Texarkana, TX, Angela Cook and husband, Trey of Shreveport, LA, Rhonda Taylor and husband, Stacey of Kansas City, MO, Brian Parker of Little Rock, AR; six great-grandchildren, Kara Holden, Logan Mounts, Will Cook, Camryn Cook, Emily Parker and Ethan Taylor; great-great-grandson, Caden Holden; brother, Billy Prestridge and wife, Joyce of Sarepta, LA; sister, Verna Mae Anderson of Dixie Inn, LA and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joe Love, daughter, Patricia Love Parker and brother-in-law, Raymond Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Charles Parker, Van Bolton, Trey Cook, Stacey Taylor, Darrin Satterfield and Eddie Dale Dunn.
The family wishes to express a special Thank You to the nurses and staff at Summit Health and Rehab, Willis-Knighton Bossier, Dr. Mike Sewell and Dr. Royal Becker for their love and care for Mrs. Love.
