Sarepta, LA - Funeral Service for Mrs. Wilma Sanford Foster, age 84, will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel, Springhill, LA, with Bro. Gerald Taylor officiating and assisted by Bro. Lyn Story. A eulogy will be said by Ashley Harris. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery, Sarepta, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Foster was born on July 8, 1929 to Dewey and Mary Brooks Sanford in Carthage, MS and passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 in Springhill. She retired from the Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant after 32 1/2 years of service. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church Bossier City/Springhill for 59 years and she devoted her life to her family and her church.

She is survived by her husband, J. D. Foster; two daughters, Renee Thompson and husband Billy Wayne of Springhill, Cindy Foster of Sarepta; three grandchildren, Justin Sumner, Ashley Harris and husband, Gary, Megan Caraway and husband, Aaron; seven great grandchildren, Kenzie, Kylie, Austin, Titan, Eli, Addyson, and Hayden; brother, Herman "Big Boy" Sanford and wife, Carolyn of Rayville, LA; sister, Tommie Jean Hummel of Bastrop, LA; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Shane Sumner; brothers, Thurman Sanford, Glenn Sanford, Lavone Sanford; sisters, Helen Smith, and Doris McIver.

Pallbearers will be Gayle Foster, Tommy Foster, Jimmy Randle McDaniel, Gary Harris, Nathaniel Kennedy, and Terry Green.
