Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Stevens Collier, age 96, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, April 14, 2014 at the Springhill United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member, with Rev. Bill McLain officiating. Burial will be in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LAVisitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.Sunday at Bailey Funeral Home.Mrs. Collier was born on January 6, 1918 to Jesse Parham and Onie Oglesby Stevens in Oak Grove, AR and passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Springhill, LA. She was a resident of Springhill since 1938 and was a homemaker, a member of the Springhill Art League and a charter member of the China Club in Shreveport, LA. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Guy Collier and brother, Arthur Stevens. She is survived by two daughters, Gail Adams and husband, Edmond and, Lana Hilburn and husband, Robert, all of Springhill, LA; four grandchildren, Angelia Fleming and husband, Ross, Edmond Adams, Jr. and wife, Kim; Robin Hilburn McLain and husband, Steve; Shelley Hilburn Brown and husband, Jeffrey; eight great-grandchildren, Christopher, Chelsea, Colton, Cade, Sarah, Emma, Hannah and Sydney; two great-great-grandsons; sister-in-law, Imogene Stevens and son, Brent Stevens; brother-in-law, Clyde Collier and wife, Merceill. Pallbearers will be John Jackson, Richard Johnson, Charlie Park, James Barnett, Wade Twitty and Dwight Collier.
