Mrs. Clydie Butler, 80, died in Monroe, La., nursing home Tuesday at 11:50 a.m. Mrs. Butler was born on Oct. 9, 1885 and was the daughter of J. C. Elliott, Sr. and Mattie Grafton Elliott. She was the widow of Charlie Butler. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Faye Peters of Tallulah, La., and Mrs. Ola Mae Johnson of Vidar, Tex.; two sons, Lois Butler of Arp, Tex. and Coy Butler of Harrisonburg, Tex, and two brothers, W. P. Elliott of Monroe, and Thomas K. Elliott of El Dorado. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist Church two miles west of Lillie, La. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hixon Funeral Home of Monroe. (The El Dorado Times - October, 13, 1965)
