Mr Ludwig was born July 14, 1926 and went home to be with his Lord July 19, 2007 after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was an avid hunter and fisherman until failing eyesight in his later years made it impossible for him to continue the sports he so dearly loved.

He is survived by son, Mike Ludwig and wife Dusty of Marion, Louisiana; daughter Bonnie Nolan of Ruston, Louisiana; granddaughters Candy Ford and husband Dennis of Ruston and Rebekah Ludwig of Monroe, Louisiana; great grandchildren Kennedy Ford and Eden Ford of Ruston; sister Virginia Hattaway of Bonita, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ludwig’s family would like to say thank you to each and every person who had a part in his care-giving during the last few years of his life and especially during the last month when he was so very ill. Words cannot express how grateful we are to the employees of Alpine Nursing Home in Ruston, especially to Mrs Nita Fields, Mr Elton Dugan and their fine nursing staff. Also, we say a special thanks to Dr Glenn Figueroa of the Lincoln Medical Plaza and his nurse, Christy for their loving care and concern, and to the employees of the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home in Monroe for the good care he received during the last days of his life.

Pallbearers will be Carlton Weeks, Jurd Weeks, Donnie Ludwig, Brooks Hattaway, Larry Booth and Randy Giddens. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Giddens, Whit Fitzgerald and Miller Booth.
