Cleadron L. Knight, 55, 700 E. Hillsboro St., died in a local hospital Tuesday after a short illness. Mr. Knight was born in Spearsville, La., on Nov. 19, 1909 and was the son of B. F. and Ollie Smith Knight. He was a Baptist and owned and operated Knight Mobil Service Station on West Hillsboro St. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bennie Mae Creed Knight of El Dorado, one son, R. A. Knight of El Dorado; two brothers, Crawford Knight of El Dorado and Buford Knight of Houston, Tex.; and his father of Spearsville. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Caanan Baptist Church with Rev. B. C. Smigh officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Union Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Pallbearers were J. H. Hall, Gordon Bryant, Prentiss Burnside, Barna Davis, Richmond Burnside and Joe L. Creed. (The El Dorado Times - July 7, 1965)
