Frances Marie Cole Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 5:00 a.m. after a lengthy battle with cancer. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, at Osborn Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2014, at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Ray Branton and Conrad Edwards. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.

Frances was a native of Tulsa, OK and a resident of Shreveport, LA for 43 years. She was a member of The Upper Room Sunday School Class at Broadmoor United Methodist Church. She attended the University of Tulsa where she was a member of the Upsilon Chapter of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Frances was active in The Book Club, her Monday Lunch Group and her Wednesday Lunch Group. She enjoyed her time with family and friends at their camp on Lake Bistineau, their condo in Snowmass, CO and the Tiger Den Suites at Tiger stadium. Frances fought this battle for 8 years with never a complaint. She left a legacy of bravery and courage and has given an example to her family and friends on how to face adversity. Frances never met a stranger and everyone she came in contact with experienced her generosity. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, John and Daisy Cole; and brother-in-law, Carl Mark Travillion. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Henry Feazel Anderson; daughter, Andrea Marie Vardell and husband, Thomas Arthur Vardell; three sons, Jake Feazel Anderson, Gregory Brent Cummings and wife, Dawn Michelle Cummings and Taylor Cole Anderson and wife, Sarah Harper Anderson; and eight grandchildren, Madison Kristi Cummings, Taylor Skye Cummings, Gavin Gregory Cummings, Daisy Grace Vardell, Thomas Colton Vardell, Ann Estelle Anderson, Emily Frances Anderson and Henry Feazel Anderson II. She is also survived by her two sisters, Kay Carylon Huggins and husband, Don Huggins and Nancy Carol Travillion; and one brother, Gene Taylor Cole and wife, Georgia Cole and 12 nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Gene Hilliard, Jack LaBorde, Cass Gaiennie, Steve Simon, Kim Kayser, Russell Tynes, Greg Byran and Ed Gunter.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Upper Room Sunday School Class at Broadmoor United Methodist Church
