Funeral Services for Mrs. Elinor Anne Skinner Gibson, 85, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 1, 2011, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe.

Mrs. Gibson was born February 6, 1926, in Hattiesburg, MS, to Irvin and Carla Skinner, and passed away July 29, 2011, at her residence. She was a member of McClendon Baptist Church and was retired from Tri-Star Printers. Her joy in life was making quilts and crocheting as well as spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sherman W. Gibson; son, Davie Lee Gibson; brothers, Billy Skinner, Sam Skinner and Ray Skinner; and sister, Millie Miller.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Stennett and her husband, Kenneth, Evelyn Davis and husband, Mike, and Kevin Gibson and wife, Janet, all of West Monroe, LA; sister, Irma Reed of Minden, LA; brother, Roger Skinner and his wife, Jerri of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Jennifer George and husband, Buddy, Kevin Steven and wife, Melissa, Tommy A. Davis, Molly Gibson, Jason Boyer, and Anna Grace Gibson; great- grandchildren, Luke and Madison George, Averi and Landri Steven along with numerous nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends.

A special thanks goes to St. Joseph Hospice, Shannon, Kathy, Loyce and Jean.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Memorials can be made to McClendon Baptist Church Children's Building Fund.
