Funeral services for Lawrence E. "Butch" Weems, 40, of West Monroe will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 3, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Jon Tellifero officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Saturday September 3, 2011 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Butch was born on September 28, 1970 in West Monroe, LA, and passed away on September 1, 2011 in West Monroe. He was a graduate of West Monroe High School. Butch worked as a pipeliner for many years and was a very talented welder and machinist. He loved to spend time fishing and hunting with his family and friends, especially his son, Hunter who was his pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence (Larry) Earl Weems Jr., Elaine Weems and Marcella Weems, grandparents, Lawrence Earl Weems Sr., Cooper and Era Russell.

Survivors include his son, Hunter Weems and mom Marsha Martin Weems; grandmother, Alline Weems; sisters, Pam Mitchell and husband Jay, Nicole O'Bryant and husband Billy, Tracy Booth and husband Jim; nieces and nephews, Elaina and Mary Allison Mitchell, Christopher and Sarah O'Bryant; special cousin, Kim Osbon and husband Allen and special relatives.

Pallbearers will be T.J. Hodge, Mike Davis, Johnny Cunningham, Damon Wilhite, Bruce Bilton, and Stevie Frost.

Butch was very blessed to have his grandmother, Alline, who was his guardian angel over his whole life. She was always there with the special gift of caring and loving that God gave her.
