Funeral services for Lenora Faye Upshaw will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, July 1, 2022 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe with Rev. Rodney Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
Lenora Faye Upshaw was born in Archibald, LA on August 29, 1938 and went home to be with Christ June 27, 2022 peacefully with her family by her side.
Lenora worked in the medical field for many years as a care-taker and had a passion for helping others. She was most recognized by her Christian values, laying the foundation and teachings of Jesus Christ. We know Jesus because of her diligence and obedience to his word. Lenora had more people she loved and considered family than we can list. She considered many of her care takers sisters and daughters. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and we were blessed to have had her in our lives. Lenora was preceded in death by parents Dewey and Roberta McCullough Hutson; husband Maynard Troy Upshaw; sons Jerald R. Jackson and Chucky Upshaw; daughter Sandy Gail Jackson; brothers Johnny and Bobby Hutson; sisters Bertha Sue Hutson Buckley, Sunshine Searcy and Marguarette Hutson Woodward.
Left to cherish precious memories of her are her children; William Rusty Jackson, Michael Dewayne Jackson, David Allen Jackson and wife Tanya and Ricky Upshaw; grandchildren; Nakia and Jennifer Jackson, Lee and Natasher Leach, Ron and Natalie Howington, Sabrina Jackson, Jeremy Claborn and Pate Claborn.
Serving as pallbearers are Seth Jackson, Hunter Hester, Heath Hester, Hayden Hester, Holden Hester and Grayson Howington.
