Mrs. Elsie Pittman, 87 passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 in Shreveport, LA after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Osborn Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Larry Williams of Broadmoor Baptist Church. A private interment will be held at a later date at Forest Park West Cemetery.
Mrs. Pittman was a native of Jackson, MS and a resident of Shreveport for 51 years. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church. She was a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Centenary College. She was a retired music teacher from Caddo Parish Schools.
Mrs. Pittman was preceded in death by her husband, H. Uttley Pittman; and her parents, Arthur William Talbert and Lucy McIntosh Talbert.
She is survived by her son, Paul Vernon Pittman and wife, Clair, and their children and grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to Gideon's International Shreveport West Camp, P.O. Box 3802, Shreveport, LA 71133-3802.
