Kathryn Loyce Anderson Brasfield, 83, of Mooringsport, LA. passed away on July 27, 2020. She was born in Rayville, LA. on October 08, 1936.
She was married to James Albert Brasfield Jr. on October 15, 1955.

Kathryn had a career as a Bookkeeper for Shuey and Smith Law Firm. Her proudest career accomplishment was becoming a Notary on September 11, 1995. Kathryn enjoyed family, flowers and gardening.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Willie Hammond Anderson and Ruby Lee Harrell Anderson both of Franklin Parish, her siblings, Billie Anderson and Ouida Jean Holiday Pennington, and her husband James Albert Brasfield Jr.

She is survived by her children, Barry Scott Brasfield, Lauren Carol Brasfield Young, Chris Shawn Brasfield, and Melanie Renee Brasfield Deloach. Grandchildren, Kathryn Marie Young, James (Jamie) Albert Brasfield III, Adam Dale Young, Kimberly Schweigart, Whitney Moore, Amanda P. Normand, Jacob Brasfield, Allison P. Stevens, and Rebekah B. Whitten and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on July 30, 2020 from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Hill Crest Memorial - Blanchard Chapel, Warriner Ave, Shreveport, LA. Funeral Service will be held July 31, 2020 at 10:00 AM, with Bro. John McDonald presiding. Interment will follow at the Forest Park West Cemetery, Meriwether Rd. in Shreveport, LA.
