Shirley Jean Arnold, born April 7, 1939, died at age 82 on Sunday, September 19, 2021, in Shreveport, LA. Her parents were Jonathan "Dean" Owers and Willie Mae Miller who married Loy Cloessner.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father, and sister, Melba Fletcher.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Charlie) Fullerton and Sandra Stokes; grandchildren, Dawson Migues and Brandi (Jesse) Normandin; step-granddaughter, Sarah Copeland; and brother, James Owers. Shirley also had 5 great-grandchildren and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will also be missed by her pets, Danny Boy, Spanky, and Peanut.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22, 2021, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Forest Park Funeral Home, 1201 Louisiana Ave. Shreveport, LA 71101. Funeral services will be the following morning, Thursday, September 23, 2021, at 10:00 am at Forest Park Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd. Shreveport, LA 71109.

Pallbearers will include Dawson Migues, Jesse Normandin, Little Jesse Normandin, Zayden Normandin, Dakota Trujillo, and David Lawson.

The family would like to send special thanks to Garden Park Nursing Home and LifePath Hospice.
