Graveside service for Marilea Coats, 84, will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating will be Father Mark Watson.
Marilea was born on March 12, 1936 to Lesly and Margie Pruett in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was raised in Amarillo, Texas and had been a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana since 1975. She was a Catholic and a member of St. Mary of the Pines Church.
Marilea was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Coats, and son, Billy Coats. She is survived by daughters Cynthia Morse of Midland, Texas, Candace Root of Amarillo, Texas, Denise Oldham of Las Vegas, Nevada, Melody Beal of Shreveport, Louisiana; ten grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
