Mausoleum
Mrs. Camelia “Bootsie” Davis, passed away at 6:20 am on Wednesday, January 22, 2020, after a brief illness. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 pm on Thursday, January 23, with a Rosary following at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, January 24, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Officiating will be Father Charles Glorioso with Deacon Bill Roche of St. Joseph Catholic Church assisting. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave.
Mrs. Davis was a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Fair Park High School. She enjoyed cooking for her family, loved LSU football, music, and dancing. She was proud of her Italian heritage all of her life. She loved entertaining the grandchildren with stories of her past. She held on to her quick wit and sharp eye till the end just ask the grand kids how many meatballs were in her spaghetti sauce.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Davis; parents, Tony and Marie Tuminello; and sister, Ramona Lombardino. She is survived by her two daughters, Toni Renfro, of Shreveport and Rochelle Rice and husband, Mike, of Camden AL; son, Mark Renfro and wife, Leah, of Shreveport; grandchildren, Chelsea Spinks and husband, Thomas, of Shreveport, Andrew Renfro, Gracen Stehr; and great granddaughter, Gia Spinks. She is also survived by her stepsons, B. J. Davis and Jeff Davis and their sons, Joey, Mark and Matthew Davis, all of CA; and her nieces, Linda and Renee.
Pallbearers will be Tim Wilcox, Andrew Renfro, Coleman Brown, Rusty Beck, Sammy Reno, and William Nalewaik. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Rice.
The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the nurses at Willis-Knighton South who attended Mrs. Davis for several hours and a special thank you to Ms. “E”.
