LAFAYETTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 5, 2014 in the Delhomme Funeral Home Chapel of the Flowers for Stephanie Jeffrey Solis, 63, who passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at 10:05 am at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Reverend Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Stephanie, a resident of Lafayette, Louisiana was the daughter of the late Paul Jeffrey and the former Ann Elpers. Stephanie was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She served her Country during the Vietnam War having served in the US Navy. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and reading; she watched Fox News faithfully.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty years Larry J Solis; his children, Christopher Michael Solis and his wife Amy and their children, Jacob Michael Solis and Brooke Danielle Solis; her daughter Jennifer Michelle Solis; sisters Lori Clark and husband Richard, Kathleen Edwards and husband Jim and Michele Herz and husband Eddie; brother Chris Jeffrey and wife Jacie, mother in law Lena M Solis and also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father in law David J Solis.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home on Bertrand Sunday, May 4, 2014 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening in the funeral home. Visiting hours will continue on Monday May 5, 2014 from 9:00 am until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Solis, Chris Jeffrey, Tommy Green, Richard Clark, Dan Duhon and Patrick Solis.
