LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 31, 2013, 11:00 am, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for Sallie W Journee, 60, who passed away peacefully August 25, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Bishop Chris Wilson will conduct the funeral services. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Wiggins, Mississippi August 7, 1953 to Josephine and David Wallace. Sallie was the youngest of nine siblings and was reared in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Survivors include husband William "Bill" Journee; daughters Tina Lauve, Tonya Ross and Janice Kimble; sisters Mary Lou Fore, Carrie Campbell and Jeannette Massey; brothers James David Wallace and Kenneth Wallace; grandchildren Gerald, Wayne, Angel, Jeremiah, Kaylynn, Mikal, Tiffany and Dylan; great-grandchildren Adrianna, Kaitlyn and Trenton; and two special sisters-in-law Loretta Myrick and Myrliss Wallace.

She was preceded in death by parents Josephine and David Wallace; brothers Ervin Myrick and E J Wallace; sister Patricia Ann Wallace and infant granddaughter Christiana Maria.

The family requests that visitation be held in church on Saturday morning at 9:30 am until service begins at 11:00 am. The address is Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 116 East Bluebird Drive, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508.
