Betty Smith Rives, 94, of Austin, Texas, died November 3, 2016, in Austin. She was born August 13, 1922 in Mansfield, Louisiana, and received a B A from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years Green Rives, Jr, son Green Rives, III and his wife Beverly Rives, and grandson Green Rives, IV.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter and by her parents, William Gordon Smith, Aileen Doolittle Morgan, and stepfather Luther Drumond Morgan.
Graveside services at 11 am Friday, November 11, 2016, in Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Louisiana.
