Makaylin passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 17. She was a resident of Iberia Parish and a native of West Baton Rouge Parish. Visiting will be at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen on Monday, May 30, 2016 5 to 9pm and will resumeTuesday, May 31, 2016 9am until religious services at 1pm, conducted by Pastor Ray McDonald. Interment will follow at St John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Brusly. She is survived by mother Misty Altazan; step fathers Randy Garvin and Rauman Laurent; father Randy Mendoza; sister Kristian Mendoza and fiancé Jeremy Cobb; brother Brennan Mendoza; grandparents Ernest “Booboo” and Missy Altazan, Sherry Boggs Cline, and Lisa Garvin, Randy “Saint” Sanchez, and Gray and Nanette Mendoza; great grandmothers Mary Duhon; aunts Abby “B” Altazan, Chantel LeJeune, Cassie Richard and Melody Collie; uncles Ernest “Trey” Altazan, III, Philip Simon, Gregory Parks and Sawyer Laurent and wife Brittany; godparents, C W and Crystal Woodward; numerous family and friends. Preceded in death by uncle Seth Altazan and Christian Babin; grandfather Elroy Garvin, Sr; great grandparents, Ernest, Sr and Noelie Altazan and great aunt, Joyce Pourciau.
