SHREVEPORT - Margaret was born January 1, 1921 in Denver, Colorado to Mildred and Arthur H. Werner and passed away on January 9, 2017 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a lifetime member of B'nai Zion Congregation and an active member of the Sisterhood. Through the years Margaret was often seen volunteering at Highland Hospital, Red River Radio, and as an usher for the Shreveport Symphony, Opera and the Strand Theatre

She is survived by her two sons, Edmund Golden and wife Joyce, Ronnie Golden and wife Susan; grandchildren: Elizabeth Bernstein and husband Jeremy, Hillary St. Laurent and husband Eric, Sheryl Weinstock and husband Jeff, Elaine Webster and husband Russell, Michael Golden and wife Sarah, Lynley Stern and husband Alex; great-grandchildren: Evan, Sophia, Emma, Rosie, Ellis, and Kate.

There are many other family members, but it is important to acknowledge that her nephew Charles Kesilman and his wife Bonnie have been so helpful to her.

Friday, January 13 at B'nai Zion Congregation there will be time to visit with the family at noon and a Funeral in the sanctuary at 12:30 PM, followed by interment at the Jewish section of Greenwood Cemetery. Officiating will be Rabbi Dr. Jana De Benedetti.
