Lafayette - Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Emma Marie Benoit, 58, who died May 22, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
She is survived by her three children, Christopher, Crystal and Andre’ Gobert of Lafayette; her only sister, Carolyn Benoit Singleton; four brothers, Phillip and Alvin Benoit of Lafayette, Michael Benoit of Scott and Marvin Benoit of Baton Rouge; 4 grandchildren; 5 nieces; 6 nephews; 2 Godchildren; her close cousin as a sister, Magdalene Obey; best friend, Earlin Phillips and father, Andrew Benoit of Youngsville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Hopkins Benoit and grandparents, Octavia (Thomas) Obey and Cresie (Andrew) Benoit.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
