Alton "Al-Tone" Benoit, Sr.
BREAUX BRIDGE - Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 10:30 am at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Alton "Al-Tone" Benoit, Sr, 73, who died September 10, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Services will be conducted by Father Joseph Campion.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette, Louisiana.
He is survived by children, Christiana Benoit Batiste (Rocky) of St Martinville, Louisiana, Alton A Benoit, Jr (Faye) of New Iberia, Louisiana, Renee Benoit (Walter), Priscilla Benoit (Loumas), both of Lafayette, Louisiana and Carol St Julien of Cade, Louisiana; step-children, John, Liz and Billy Williams; twelve grandchildren; nine great grand- children; siblings, Joseph June Benoit of Duson, Louisiana, Algie Benoit of Crowley, Louisiana, Mary Benoit Simon of Lafayette, Louisiana, Louella Bland (Nathaniel) of Leesville, Louisiana and Janell Brown (James) of Bellville, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by wife, Rose Mae G Benoit; parents, Andrew and Augustine Breaux Benoit; maternal grandparents, Constance Trahan and Ovide Breaux; paternal grandparents, Marshall Benoit and Regina Batiste; brothers, Caffery Benoit, Sr, Leonce Benoit, Marshall Benoit, Sr and Herbert Benoit; tsisters, Constance "Connie" Simon, Vergie Broussard and Lena "Mae-Mae" Broussard.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 am until 10 am.
A rosary will be recited at 9 am.
