Lafayette: Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 11:00AM at Kinchen Funeral Home for Shenard Simmonds who passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020.
Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery following the funeral.
Shenard Simmons was born September 20,1986 to Dr Katrina Simmons-August in Lafayette, Lousiana. He was raised in Carencro, Louisiana. Shenard accepted Christ at an early age. Four months before his untimely departure, he redirected his life back to Christ. at Kingdom Awakening International. Shenard Was a graduate of Carencro High. After graduation. Shenard -attended South Louisiana Community College where he majored in criminal justice with the aspiration of becoming- a parole officer.
At a young age, Shenard developed a love for music. wheel-chair basketball and traveling. Shenard departed this life on Monday. January 27. 2020. He was preceeded in death by his maternal grandmother. Mary L Guidry; his beloved nephew, Eli D Hebert his great grandparents. Clementine August. Anna Francis. Oreon Felix and Caroline Felix.
Shenard leaves to cherish his memory; his friend, Cavlen Willis (Nyriee) of Lafayette, Louisiana; mother, Dr Katrina Simmons-August (Eric) of Lafayette, Louisiana; sisters, Kirstien Simmons and Christiana Hebert (Anthony), niece Armani Hebert: nephews, Desmond, Kaleb and Brylenn Hebert, all of Lafayette, Louisiana and a host of aunts, uncles, and other loved ones.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 7:00AM until time of service at 11:00AM at Kinchen Funeral Home.
