James "Pop" Andrew Noullet Sr, 74, peacefully passed away October 5, 2018 in Metairie, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by parents Charles and Marie Meilleur Noullet. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Eileen Headrick Noullet; daughter, Tracy Jacobs (DeWitt Jacobs, Jr); son, James Andrew Noullet, Jr. (Rachelle); sister, Sylvia DeSalvatore; brother, Charles Noullet (Mae Ann); grandchildren, DeWitt Jacobs III, Tiffney Jacobs, Faith Noullet, Hope Noullet; Hayley Jacobs, and Grace Noullet. Pop was born and raised in New Orleans and attended St. Aloysius High School followed by Loyola University, and University of New Orleans. He served in the Marine Reserves First Battalion Platoon 182 and taught himself how to play his guitar, which he loved. Pop loved fishing, painting, all animals, and most importantly his grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a graveside service will follow the mass at Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to Animal Rescue New Orleans, 271 Plauche St, New Orleans, LA 70123
