SCHILD Marie Lorraine Garcia DiBenedetto Schild passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009. Age 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Martin Schild and Dominic DiBenedetto. Mother of the late Gerald DiBenedetto. Daughter of the late Leila Zander Garcia and Eugene A. Garcia. Sister of Eugene A. Garcia, Jr. D.D.S. and the late Sister Imaculata O'Carm, Ida Garcia Bork, Evelyn Garcia Gallagher, Lloyd Thomas Garcia and Dorothy Garcia Vinson. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was a graduate of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School, Mt. Carmel Academy, Mercy School of Nursing and L.S.U. Medical Center School of Nursing. She served in Normandy and Germany during W.W. II as a nurse in the U.S. Army. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at Mt. Carmel Mother House Chapel, 420 Robert E. Lee Blvd., New Orleans, LA, on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 12 Noon. Visitation at Mt. Carmel Friday morning from 11:00 AM until funeral time.
