Funeral services for Mrs. Kathleen Williams Baker, 100, of Choudrant, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Douglas United Methodist Church. Bro. Jeremy Jones will officiate. Interment will follow at Douglas Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 3 at the church from 1:00 PM until time for the service.Mrs. Baker was born in Eros, LA on November 11, 1917 and moved to the Choudrant area when she was 13 years old. She finished High School at Choudrant in 1935 and was the last living member of that class. She married Davis M. Baker in 1935 and moved to Douglas where she lived in the same house for 80 years. Mrs. Baker was a member of Douglas United Methodist Church for 86 years. She stayed actively involved in her church and community until poor health put her into assisted living in 2016. She passed away at the Terrace in Ruston, LA on September 30, 2018.Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, W.H. and Ethel Williams; by 4 brothers: Jim, EB Toad, Joe, and Max Williams; her husband of 64 years, Davis M. Baker; and granddaughter, Amy McGuire.Kathleen W. Baker is survived by her children: Larry D. Baker and wife, Mary, of Choudrant, LA; Jerry L. Baker and wife, Frances, of Ruston, LA; Dianne McGuire and husband, Samuel of Minden, LA; and Stephen A. Baker and wife, Judy, of Choudrant, LA. She is also survived by grandchildren: Donna Aaron and husband, Randy; Debbie Simmons and husband, Scott; Tori McKinney and husband, Lee; Brad McGuire and wife, Barbra; Dana Baker and wife, Angie; Chris Baker and wife, Emily; Dusty Baker; Megan Boyce and husband Mims; Jodi Perritt and husband, Greg; Kasey Baker and wife, Hannah; and Ann Marie Cain and husband, Jacob; 21 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews from the Baker and Williams families.She lived a long and healthy life, was a good mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She will be missed.Pallbearers will be grandsons: Brad McGuire, Dana Baker, Chris Baker, Dusty Baker, Kasey Baker, and grandson-in-law Randy Aaron.
