Graveside Services for Mrs. Ada Van Zile, 91, of West Monroe, LA will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe.

Mrs. Van Zile was born on December 3, 1916 to the union of Oscar and Katie Mondy of Carthage, TX. She received her Angel Wings on May 19, 2008. "May you soar with the Angels and watch over us always."

Mrs. Van Zile went through her nursing training at St. Francis Sanatorium, graduating in 1939. Her nursing career included St. Francis Hospital and the Children's Clinic in Monroe.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 54 years, Norris D. Van Zile; brothers, Glendon Mondy and George Mondy; half brother, Stanley Mondy, Lloyd Mondy, and half sister, Donna Harrison.

Survivors include her sons, Daniel Van Zile and wife Barbara of Kneeland, CA; Rev. Larry Van Zile and wife Mary of Arlington, TX, Patrick Van Zile and wife Gwendolyn of Hackberry, LA, Richard Van Zile of New Braunfels, TX; daughter, Peggy Ellis and husband Odell of West Monroe; grandchildren, Steven and Tommy Van Zile of CA, Timothy Van Zile of TX, Stephanie Calvert, Michael Ellis, Malenda Grezaffi, Jamie Ellis, and Tommie Berry all of West Monroe; half brothers, Edward Mondy of CO, Teddy Mondy of NM; half sisters, Betty Monroe, Rita Laterza, Alvern Brewer, Helen Martinez all of TX, Brenda Cox of LA, Hattie Gerberding of CA; numerous great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews left to cherish her memory.
