Graveside Services for Mildred “Millie” Akin, 85, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Hasley Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Grant Bamburg officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Millie was born on August 19, 1931 in Morrisville, PA and passed away on November 13, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. She was loved by many and well known for her delicious Italian cooking. Anyone that knew Millie always bragged on her famous cooking. Her spunky spirit and quick wit will be missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Salvatore Lasprella and Catherine Hill Lasprella.

She is survived by her daughter, Kitty Walpole and husband Stacey; sons, Ronnie Battillo and Raymond Battillo; grandchildren, Meagan and James Boyer, Whitney and Ricky Bell, Jr. , Morgan Battillo, and Anthony Walpole and Sara Carr; great-grandchildren, Ally Bell, Aubrie Boyer, Brady Bell, Cruise Aldon, and Clark Boyer; sister, Penny Frasco; and numerous other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Battillo, Raymond Battillo, Stacey Walpole, Ricky Bell, Jr., Anthony Walpole and Ryeland Myers. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brady Bell.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
