December 22, 1949 - February 11, 2017
Linda Gayle Yancy Monnerjahn, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at the age of 67. She was an active member of TOPS and worked for many years as a Mortgage Broker.
She was a loving wife to Rodney John Monnerjahn and mother to three sons Rodney, Jr. (Kathy) David (Kim) Stephen (Jennifer). Grandmother to eight grandchildren Madison, Rodney, III, Cali, Macy, Jena, Mason, Joel, Sofia, and Great-grandmother to Vivienne. She is survived by two nieces Kim Lager, and Molly Beach and nephews Matthew Beach, Patrick Yancy , Mike Yancy, Dennis Baker, and Ronnie Baker; and sister-in-law Corrine. She is preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Gayle Gray; parents Effie Alison Yancy and Esther Durham Yancy; brother Danny Yancy; two sisters Patricia Baker and Rebecca Beach; and one niece Angela Yancy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Friday February 17, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Inurnment will take place following the services in Metairie Cemetery.
