Lost half of his right index finger to a Carpentry accident.

His 1st wife was called the "Mother of Bogalusa".

Mayor Sullivan and his family were the subject on a segment of a show that "visited haunted places" in the 80's or 90's. The announcer talks about the hidden "panic room" that the family hid in during a saw mill uprising.
