Services for Mrs. Gertie Mae Mitchell, 68, of Monroe were 2:00 P. M. Monday, May 10, 1993 at First Baptist Church in Farmerville with Rev. Alan Miller and Rev. Warren Eckherdt officiating. Burial was in the City Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home, Farmerville.
Mrs. Mitchell died Saturday, May 8, 1993 at North Monroe Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Farmerville and a member of First Baptist Church, Farmerville. She was retired from retail sales.
Survivors include one daughter: Gay and Barry Bailey of Monroe; two sisters: Mrs. Lula Pearl Gambill of Houston, TX. and Mrs. Mattie Bell Hudson of Farmerville; two grandchildren: Mitch and Lisa Bailey of Shreveport and Marty and Becky Bailey of Monroe; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Roy Evans, Joe Albritton, Bob Lewter, Danny Tucker, Tommy Tucker and James Simpson.
