GEORGIA RAE SUMRALL, AGE 89
And a resident of Franklinton died at 10:45 pm Friday January 30, 2015 at Lakeview Medical Center. She was member of Trinity Baptist Church that enjoyed listening to gospel music. Alongside her family they had a grocery in Franklinton and later started the Hi-Way Pack near their home in the 1960’s. Georgia was a caretaker of her family and loved for people to visit and drink coffee. She liked to go out to eat with her family and loved her beautiful flowers.

3 Sons and Daughters in law: Donzil and Carole Sumrall, John L. Sumrall, Sr. and Drusilla Sumrall, Allan Sumrall all of Franklinton
5 Grandsons and Spouses: Craig Sumrall, Kevin Sumrall, John L. Sumrall, Jr. and Amy Sumrall, Christopher and Shannon Sumrall, Joseph and Ashley Sumrall
12 Great-grandchildren: Isabella Sumrall, Christina Sumrall, Ashley Cook, C.J. Sumrall, Hunter Sumrall, Stacey Sumrall, Emily Lopez, Jake Brooks, Braylee Sumrall, April Sumrall, Marissa Sumrall, Kaitlin Sumrall
Sister in law: Mae Strahan of Franklinton, Also numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Quince Sumrall, infant daughters Connie Sue Sumrall and Brenda Sumrall, granddaughter Barbara Ann Sumrall, her parents George W. Varnado and Eula Simmons Varnado and 2 brothers Leo Varnado and Lattimore Varnado.
Visitation will be at Trinity Baptist Church Wednesday February 4th from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 10 am on Thursday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2 pm Thursday with Rev. Walter Mixon, Rev. Paul Watts, and Rev. Joey Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Morris Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at St. Tammany Parish Hospital.
