Billy Ray Jones(Died August 7, 2005)FRANKLINTON - Funeral services were held today for Billy Ray Jones, age 50, a resident of the Oak Grove community who died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital at Covington due to cancer. He was an employee of Advanced Commercial Contracts in New Orleans.He is survived by his wife, Debbie Magee Jones of Franklinton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lonnie Ray and Amber Jones of Bogalusa and Shane and Kristie Magee of Franklinton; one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Brian Gerald of Franklinton; one brother and sister-in-law, Elvin Jr. "Bug" and Janice Jones of Franklinton; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Steve Whitney, Pat and Arnold Cottrell all of Chattanooga TN, Loretta and Chip Cassidy of Walker LA, Rita Jones of Franklinton; six aunts, Doris Magee, Shirley Thomas, Elois Jones, Bernice Sumrall, Shirley O'Bryant and Paulette Phelps; two uncles, Aubrey Jones and Malloy Jones; six grandchildren, Evan Bankston, Kelsey Magee, Dexter Magee, Austin Magee, Cristin M. Flynt, and Ashlyn Gerald; nieces and nephews, Kevin Scott Jones, Misty Bounds, Hunter, Brandon, Tyler and Remington Jones, Sandra and Santanna Riley, Shandle and Jordan Riley, Allen, Jackie, Casey, Cody and Paige Riley, Adria and Collin Cassidy, Cain, Chris and Josh Magee, Talmadge, Alex, Cameron, Carson Jones, Terry, Ashley, T.J., Brandon and Sierra Burch, Vicki, Ashton, Matthew, Colby McNabb, Denni, Pete, Adam and Amber Burch, special friends, Eddie and Cathy Hartson and former wife, Connie Jenkins Magee.He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Vertie Mae Jones; three sisters, Sherry Jones, Janice Burch and Connie Sue Magee.Visitation at Crain Funeral Home was held from 5 until 10 p.m. yesterday and continued today 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Ronald Wilson and Rev. Tommy Morgan officiated, with burial following in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
