Dr. William Chess Wood, son of J.P. Wood of Franklinton, died in Oakdale, La. On January 7th, at the age of 50 years, 8 months, and 24 days. In Oakdale, he married Willie Chander.
Survivors are his widow and father, 4 brothers, W.Q., G.C., A.E., and Jake Wood; 4 sisters, Mrs. R.L. Burris, Mrs. H.M. Minckler, Mrs.
W.W. Varnado, Mrs. C.E. Evoritt, and a half sister, Miss Dorothy Wood.
Interment was in the Ellis cemetery.
