JOHNSON, PEARL GRIFFITH

Died 4:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 1988, at Riverside Medical Center, Franklinton. She was 96, a native of Port Hudson and resident of Franklinton.

Religious services at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Jerry Barlow, the Rev. Gene Richards, the Rev. Willis Dear, and the Rev. Andrew Silman. Burial in Ellis Cemetery , Franklinton.

Survived by a son, Delos R. Johnson Jr., Franklinton; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Adrian Johnson, Hammond, John KellerJohnson, Baton Rouge, Andrew Griffith Johnson, Franklinton, and Caroline Griffith Johnson McKowen, Zachary; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, Delos R. Johnson Sr.; and a son, A. Griffith Johnson.

She was a member of Plains Presbyterian Church, and attended First Baptist Church, Franklinton, where she was active in Sunday school, training union, and WMU. She was a charter member of Waverly Club, Franklinton, and participated in Washington Parish Fair Assn. Crain Funeral Home, Franklinton, in charge of arrangements.
