Dorman
August 24, 1921 - May 17, 2003
Dorman P. Burch, 81, a resident of Franklinton, died at 6:05 a.m. yesterday in Franklinton.
He was the owner-operator of Burch's Amoco for many years and also served on the Franklinton Town Council for three terms. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Stafford Burch of Franklinton; two daughters and a son-in- law, Brenda B. and Chip Burris of Tylertown, MS, and Sandra B. Bennett of Franklinton; and four grandchildren, Bridget Burris, Brandi Burris, Candace Fontenot and Carson Fontenot.
He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 6-9 p.m. today and tomorrow from 8 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Revs. Larry Stafford and Lyndle Bullard will officiate and burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery.
