Freddie Marie Barber Esteve and a resident of Franklinton died at 11:00 am Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Northshore Specialty Hospital in Covington. She always put her Lord first and was a founding member of Victory Baptist Church. Her life was given to the care of others, her children, grandchildren, and many more people, either family or not. If someone needed a place to eat or lay their head, she offered whatever she or her family had. Freddie never turned away those in need.
Survived by:
2 Daughters and son in law: Anita and Charles Barber, Michele Esteve all of Franklinton
4 Sons: Patrick Esteve, Jr., Vernon Esteve, Darrell Esteve, Michael Esteve all of Franklinton
14 Grandchildren
9 Great grandchildren
Also many loving nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents Louis Delon Barber and Anna Louise Corkern Barber, 2 sisters Bonnie Lee Barber Corker and Shirley Ann Corkern Walker and 2 brothers Huey Barber and Dennis Wayne Barber.
Visitation will be at Victory Baptist Church Sunday, February 5, 2012 after 12:30 PM. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Sunday at the church with Rev. Larry Archote officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill-Magee Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Louis Barber, Robert Barber, Dustin Luper, Terry Dickerson, David Landry, Mike Racca, Eugene Folse, Jr., Randy Sharp, Kirk Martineau.
