Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Marie Monday of Monroe, LA will be 2:00pm Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home 911 Warren Dr. West Monroe with Rev. Art Beebe officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Monday was born June 3, 1943 in Baskin, LA and passed from this life on November 10, 2018 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 75. She was a member of Prairie Road Praise and Worship and enjoyed singing, writing poetry and music.
She is preceded in death by two daughters, Teresa Lynn Copeland and Loretha Renee Copeland; and her parents, Richard Thomas and Rachael Bernice Goodman.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen Monday of West Monroe; her son, Luther “Danny” Copeland and wife, Tina of Eros; one sister, Liz Parks of Winnsboro; one brother, Gene Goodman of Wisner; two granddaughters, Theresa Temple of Holly Ridge and Danyale Copeland of Eros; great-grandsons, Remington Copeland, Dakota Copeland and Cayson Barr, all of Eros; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
